Absolutely delightful. This could have easily failed as a musical, why? For some people, it has a thin plot and is the length of a typical Martin Scorsese epic. However, the singing and dancing is top notch, and so are the songs.
That ballet sequence, oh my god! The only thing that could possibly be compared to musical wise is the finale ballet to an American in Paris. The dialogue is also quite witty and well written. If you enjoy musicals that are 3 hours long and aren't Andrew Lloyd Webber quality, check out this one! You won't be disappointed.
