Review of Oh, God! (1977) by Nik B — 30 Mar 2009
Hey, it rains in the car. Seriously, though- once John Denver gets over the dumb who-am-i-why-am-i-here game, and he and God get down to brass tacks, it really brings forth some very simple fundamental messages.
George Burnds delivers the lines as brilliantly as they were written. The scene with Jerry and God taking their "exam" actually gives Burns the chance to say some particularly blasphemous shit.
He's playing God, saying that Jesus, Mohammed and Buddha were his sons. Don't rememeber seeing the outrage that you would see today.
