Review of Off the Map (2003) by Ken M — 05 Oct 2005
October 6, 2005.
This is a brilliantly quiet drama-comedy. Set in New Mexico, the landscape is beautiful and peaceful. The story is mainly a character study, but it is engaging and fun. The director has made me feel completely part of the film, its environment, and its family.
It runs a little long at almost 110 minutes, but I highly recommend that you watch this movie after an extremely stressful day at work. Have a nice dinner and then put this DVD in and relax. It will help you unwind and reflect.
