Review of Nosferatu (1922) by Kevin C — 11 Oct 2009
A wickedly thrilling horror movie, Nosferatu still manages to draw emotional responses from the audience (namely, scared chills and nervous winces). When a horror film can still do that, after 80 years, then it deserves our respect.
As for the film's other merits: age hasn't been kind to the its technical aspects; in the perspective of the 1920s, however, the camera-work and directing is a triumph which perfectly compliments the horror/noir nature of the movie.
