Review of Neon Maniacs (1986) by Blais E — 21 Jan 2011
Incomprehensible, incoherent slime-stew featuring a creepy cadre of kooky-costumed cretins who emerge from underneath the Golden Gate Bridge (?) to indiscriminately slaughter the teen citizenry of San Francisco! Oddball, almost indescribable in its bizarre, yet-strangely fascinating ineptness.
After some lengthy (And rather pointless) character exposition, it is revealed that these strange assassins are easily dispatched of with water. Then why in the Hoo-Hah do they live under the GG Bridge? Nothing is ever explained about the who, what, why, where, when, & how of these Hoodlum-Hackers, but perhaps that's what makes the film so freakishly compelling to me! I can't explain it, but I enjoy this wacky little tick-turd--a true guilty pleasure!
