I love it when sports movies don't get too serious or go too over the top. Necessary Roughness is a nice middle ground. Gotta love Scott "Quantum Leap" Bakula in the lead role. Hey, even Rob Schneider was half decent in this one, before his endless cameos and supporting roles as a freak (mostly in Adam Sandler movies).
