An epic film that is compelling, but thinks far too much of itself! It feels like the filmmakers thought they were making a much more important film than they were. I loved how well orchestrated and shot the action sequences were, but the violence was jarring to the point of headache-inducing.
There wasn't much weight to any of the performances either really. The strong points of the film were really just the cinematography, and the production design.
