My Dog Tulip is a classically hand drawn animated film that captures perfectly captures the essence of a relationship between a lonely old man and his German Shepherd. If you're a dog lover, or own one yourself, you'll be able to relate to the joys of owning a dog and the unconditional love they offer the human spirit.
I loved this movie! The quiet nuances and the style of animation helps bring together an intimate story that is at the same time funny and heartbreaking. As the narrator, Christopher Plummer brings his unique voice talents that really breathes life into the author, J.R. Ackerley.
While not a film for children, My Dog Tulip will surely delight any adult who loves animated film.
