Review of My Beautiful Laundrette (1985) by Tim C — 29 Jan 2008
Endearing love story set against Thatcher England, that covers modern society( at the time) bases such as racial tensions, immigrant assimilation, desire for yuppie success. Daniel Day Lewis shines in one of his frist acting roles as Johnny, the gay punk caught up against the turmoil of his time.
