Review of Munich (2005) by Alex B — 09 Mar 2010
Pure genius. This is why I go see movies. I don't have much to say about this film except GO SEE IT NOW! This is Spielberg in top form, one of his greatest films if not his greatest next to Shindlers List.
I love the nods to Saving Private Ryan and Schindlers List in this film. But what I really love about this film is that it shows us why a country feels the need to respond to at terrorist attack with such brutal and fierce fashion.
You Tag along side a group of 5 men who are appointed by Isreal to hunt down and kill those responsible for the Munich massacre, those being The Black September. Not only that, but it also shows us the utter dismay of watching what these 5 men do to achieve thier goal, which ultimatley they will never achieve.
