Review of Mughal-e-Azam (1960) by Muzar S — 29 Dec 2007
One of the (if not the) best Bollywood film EVER....what other films can only aspire to be like. Superb performaces all round by the legendary Dilip and Madhubala and the booming Prithviraj (Patriarch of the Kapoor filmic dynasty) as the Mughal Emperor Akbar (aka The Great), tragic Romeo and Juliet type love story, amazing cinematography and action / battle sequences and some of the best music and lyrics Indian cinema has ever put out.
..the lines and dialogue is unparalleled and constantly copied but never matched! Class.
