Review of Much Ado About Nothing (2013) by Alex G — 07 Jun 2013
This film is adorable. I must say (bring on the boos) that Much Ado is one of my least favorite of Shakespeare's plays, but this adaption elevates the material tremendously (blasphemous...I know). Depth, heart, charm, wit, and the best actors around make this a truly one-of-a-kind adaptation.
Seeing Alexis and Amy finally getting starring roles on the big screen was a dream come true--and they nailed it. There is so much heart to be found here, but the gold truly comes from the actors (all of them) whose improvisations make this film something special.
