Review of Much Ado About Nothing (2013) by Cat H — 10 Jul 2013
This was beautifully done and the casting was perfection. If you're anything like me, you'll need about 10 minutes to adjust to the Shakespearean English but then you'll be able to follow along without any issues at all.
The decision to have the actors speak their lines as though they were actually speaking, rather than the affectations ways most people chose to perform Shakespeare, was absolutely inspired and made for a much more entertaining film that was also much easier to lose yourself in.
An absolute must see for anyone who is either a Shakespeare lover, a Whedonite or a fan of any of the actors in the production.
