Slow pace that let an interesting story breathe lIke a fine wine, and wonderful performances across the board. Ian McKellen was brilliant as always. Though somewhat scary at times to contemplate a mind like Sherlock Holmes dwindling in such a way, the resolution of the story was very satisfying.
