Review of Moloch (1999) by Domenico L — 13 Jul 2007
German movies are not known for being cheerful. This movie certainly does not buck the trend even though it is actually Russian!
Unfortunately, none of the characters was gripping enough to warrant sitting through such a movie. The pace is annoying and the characters even more so. The movie opens up with a middle-aged Eva Braun frolicking in the nude and doing pirouettes for a good five minutes on the cold, fog-laced ramparts of Hitler?s fortress. It goes downhill from there, a feeling you will get when you see Eva somersaulting so close to the edge.
