Review of Moebius (2013) by Satoko H — 17 Jan 2014
Kim Ki-Duk's latest exploration of cinematic shock is probably the sickest and most twisted thing that has graced the screen for a while. Its shocking and highly implausible, its intimate and funny, its gross and beautiful.
if incest, castration and rape are not your idea of a fun time at the movies, this might not be the film for you. It is appalling yet darkly funny, its also extremely well acted, and the fact that the only sounds that come out of the actors are groans of pain and moans of pleasure, not a single word is uttered, and not a single cue of music obscured the view in the minds of this nuclear family , that is in equal parts drama, comedy, trash and high art.
