Review of Misconceptions (2010) by Marc T — 25 Jan 2010
Misconceptions is a well acted, socially relevant, good natured yarn-- and a lot of fun. It has a Preston Sturges-type of plot with improbable situations and likable characters who have unusual and life-changing experiences. It has a great pace, and mixes humor, affection and pathos. The sold-out audience "got it" and laughed out loud at the humor. The actors resonated with each other in ensemble fashion. You care about the characters and they will stay with you after the film ends. We need more honest low-budget films like this.
You should try to catch it during its limited release (I think it plays for one week in just a few major cities).".
