Jeunet always surprises me with his movies. Since Delicatessen, all of Jeunet's movies print a smile upon my face (even in Alien: Resurrection). This movie has all the beauty of narrative film making within.
Beautiful acting and use of both facial and body expression, and also beautiful cinematographic language, angles, and optics... without excluding the soundtrack of course.
