Review of Michael (2011) by David Ray G — 03 Jun 2012
If this movie sets out to teach us something it's that monsters live among us: they are working in the next booth to ours, standing behind us in the supermarket line, walk in the park feeding ducks. We'll never know who they are or what they've done. And that's truly, truly scary.
Greatly performed and staged, a typical movie festival film that has long shots and its story moves at a slow pace. The ending was rather good, and it's a different take on the topic of pedophilia. Could have been better, but it has a very specific target and that did not allow the story to expand.
