Review of Mesmer (1994) by Sarah C — 08 Jul 2007
I am a HUGE Alan Rickman fan. Obviously, but this film... could've been way better. I thought the director's premise was confusing, but then again I could barely hear what was being said half the time.
Audio was crap, but I could hear the background music perfectly. Wtf is up with that? Rickman and Ooms performance, however, was stupendous. I personally loved the music, the costumes, and the way characters of the era were displayed.
My favorite parts were of the subtle jokes throughout. No doubt I will watch this film again, but only for the actors. And with the speakers on high.
