Review of Mental (2012) by Sara Z — 23 Mar 2013
PJ Hogan is clearly sending a message he wants to tell us stories about domestically depressed protagonists battling self confidence issues and sociopaths. Unlike Muriel's Wedding, Mental is too campy and over the top, never sparking empathy for characters, accept maybe the ever reliable Toni Collette who seems to carry anything she's in.
