Review of Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God (2012) by Joshua R — 08 Sep 2012
This is likely the best documentary I have ever watched. I caught its opening at #TIFF and I have to say that it shocked and awoken me to the heinous crimes that the Catholic Church has committed, covered-up, and made essentially made part of its policy.
It analyzes the cover-ups of the church, and exposes how the church has built a policy amongst its ranks to keep quiet about the world-wide pedophilia and sexual abuse that has, and is taking place.
It exposes the horrendous individuals involved, at all levels of the Church's hierarchy (from priest, to bishop, to cardinal to the pope) and how their corruption, and devious activity has ruined the lives of so many.
I used to be a Catholic, and this documentary has made all my suspicions of the Vatican and the Church clearer than ever.
