Review of Me and Orson Welles (2008) by Amar K — 06 Nov 2011
One of the best movies about theatre and must-see for those who are lured by the charms of art.
Richard is played by such a person in this movie, who is audience's alternate, keen and cordial venturer. The other character-Orson Welles is a man who is noble and talented; but also treacherous and caddish at the same time. He showers players with inflated extolment, and then crushes them with brutal reproval. Here is a peep into his habits too that would lead not only to his few unmatched films but also to many upsets and tragically forsaken projects.
Huge accolades to Christian McKay for his herculean authority to capture such an enigmatic character on screen with spiritedness and humor that can put most biopic hokum to shame.
