Review of M*A*S*H (1970) by Karl V — 03 Jan 2008
I guess some of it's strengths have been pointed out as weaknesses on other reviews I have read. "It's episodic" with seemingly "no back bone " of structure. Well how else do you depict war? The film has great dialog.
It has a warm human feel to it even though it is set in a time and place where warmth and humanity were in short supply, without shying away from the futility and brutality of war.
