Review of Mary Poppins (1964) by Jesse R — 20 Nov 2018
I've loved this movie all my life. The singing of the great Julie Andrews alone is worth watching the movie. I must say that after watching "Saving Mr. Banks" you do see how "Mary Poppins" is really his story.
Yes Mary takes the kids on many adventures and teaches them, but ultimately it's Mr. Banks who really learns what's important in life. As a parent how many have spent too much time on their careers that they hardly know their children? And then in too short a time they are grown and don't need you anymore.
Mary Poppins taught him that, and he was able to start building that relationship with his children and Mary saves the children, by saving their father.
