Review of Marvellous (2014) by Tiago C — 18 Mar 2015
The true story of Nello, featuring Toby Jones that deliver an amazing portrayal of the main character. Nello, or Neil Baldwin in non-short, is a little fella with Aspberger syndrome. He has some fantastic attributes that is impossible to not find amusing. He cares for his mom almost as much as he cares for his team Stoke City. A club that he eventually get's to work for.
It's a very human and heart warming film. Free for effects and stuff that makes it unreal. This is as real as it gets (well, with a amazing story and character added).
A small TV film, that deserves a bigger audience. It has several superb scenes, both funny and sadder ones. The music need a mention - sung by some sort of choir. A very great touch there from the crew.
Certainly one of the most inspirational films of 2014.
8.5 out of 10 budgies.
