Review of Marius (2013) by Matthew F. J — 12 Jul 2013
Based on the timeless & classical books by Marcel Pagnol, this film is really well shot, well acted & the accent from Marseille shines with every words pronounced! Done with a mall budget, this first chapter of the trilogy, brings back to life a time when fishermen were ruling the ocean, adventure was a calling & things weren't as fast as they are today.
Slow at times the film manages to deliver some incredible moments filled with humanity, tenderness & emotion.
A film that deserves a viewing , looking forward to watch the next two chapters.
