Review of Marigold (2007) by Damien D — 16 Aug 2007
Hmm... a 'cross-cultural experiment' which doesn't really produce a good result.
It's ok, but there are too many cliches, the script is terrible, Salman Khan is back to his usual crap self (WHY does he speak English in that awful mock-American accent?).
Not a very good way to bring the amazingness of Bollywood to Western audiences.
The songs are so forgettable! And considering Salman's current Prem avatar is a choreographer, I would expect the choreography to be much better.
I'm not a huge fan of Ali Larter either, tbh. Usually western actresses in Bollywood movies are sweet-looking, but I guess her character is a B-movie actress.
UGH Salman Khan talking in English!
