Review of Maniac (1934) by Sv G — 21 Aug 2009
Classic B movie from the 1930s about a mad scientist who wants to bring the dead back to life. His assistant kills him and assumes his idenity & walls up his corpse in the cellar but then slips quickly into madness.
The film though low budget cleverly incorporates clips from silent film horror classics to demonstrate his growing insanity. Amusing and clever for its time.
