(1975) Mandingo.
DRAMA.
Somewhat of a pointless adaption of a novel written by Kyle Onstott centering on an African American boxer which to me serves as a backdrop upon everything else that was going on throughout this film! The time which takes place, right after the Civil War whereas the fighting was already been done and over with, but the degregation of African Americans living in the deep South were still allowed to continue! Music credited to actual African American blues artist Muddy Waters for some unknown bizarre reason!
2 out of 4.
