Review of Mamma Mia! (2008) by Priscila P — 16 Aug 2018
This 109 minutes film based on the Broadway musical reflects the essence of ABBA`s music, if you are a fan of this group the movie will make you want to sing and dance along. It has a cast full of different personalities and a well done script that makes each song fit perfectly with the scene the actors are performing.
We have one of the sweetest performances of Amanda Seyfried as Sofi, who is the daughter of Donna, played by Meryl Streep. The strange way the plot presents how Sofi hides her plan from Donna keeps you stuck to the screen.
Skopelos Island, Greece, where the movie was filmed envelopes you because its gorgeous architecture and beaches.
To me this is one of the best Broadway musical adaptations that could have gone to the big screen.
