Review of MacArthur (1977) by Charles M — 12 Feb 2017
If 1977's "Macarthur" was intended as another definitive biopic of American WWII commanders (in the vein of 1970's "Patton"), it thoroughly missed the mark. Hate to say it, but Gregory Peck and his cast were dry and shallow, basically only reciting colorless dialog on claustrophobic sets.
Gregory Peck was no George C. Scott, and "Macarthur" was certainly no "Patton".
