Review of Lydia (1941) by Indira S — 20 Oct 2013
Lydia is an excellent film. It is about Lydia MacMillan, a wealthy old woman who has never married, who is invited by an old beau, Dr. Michael Fitzpatrick, for a reunion with the men who have been in her life to reminisce.
Merle Oberon and Joseph Cotten give terrific performances. The screenplay is well written. Julien Duvivier did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed this movie because of the romance. Lydia is a must see.
