Review of Lulu on the Bridge (1998) by Private U — 20 Aug 2007
Harvey Keitel, looking creepily like Karl Kennedy from Neighbours, plays a sax-man who gets shot in the lung. This is a strange love story that unfurls into an even stranger thriller. It expands the same world of Paul Auster's novels.
The film is literate with many levels to explore, especially the theme of Pandora's Box, both the film and the Greek myth. A film to trigger many conversations...
