Review of Love's Labour's Lost (1985) by Elle V — 29 Sep 2009
Cole Porter songs and Shakespeare??! I should be heaven, but after finally seeing it years after it's release, I wish I had forgotten that it existed. Alicia Silverstone is horrendously distracting with her cracking, pubescent sounding voice and zero Shakespearean flare.
I consider myself a musicals aficionado so tried very hard to focus on the charm that only a musical can offer. I found there was only enough charm present to muster one star in this review.
