Review of Love Crime (2010) by Alexandra W — 18 Feb 2012
French Damages, you kind of suck. I much prefer Real Damages, and here's why: French Patty Hewes is not so much a diabolical genius femme fatale so much as a petty, emotionally abusive asshole. French Ellen Parsons turns out the more intriguing character as she does carry out a successful ridiculous/intricate plan and then thoroughly becomes the person she loves/hates most.
On the whole, however, this movie is twice as yucky, half-again as ambiguous, and half as satisfying fashion-wise as Real Damages.
