Haven't seen a Japanese "period film" for a long time and this one is a real treat!! Thought it was going to be gloomy and heavy and full of talks of sumurai spirit but was pleasantly surprised thanks to Takuya Kimura's acting and the director's attention to detail - can't wait to see his previous work.
