Review of Lord Jim (1965) by Brian B — 22 May 2009
Peter o´Toole gives a fine performance but James Mason steals the film when he appears in the final third as a ignominious but charming face of evil. The film was shot largely on location in southeast Asia giving authenticity and vivid color to the jungle.
The pacing is uneven with two villains necessitating two climaxes.
