Review of Living in Emergency: Stories of Doctors Without Borders (2008) by Patty M — 15 Dec 2009
Excellent, excellent documentary! If you've ever been interested in MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and the types of people who get involved with it, this is a must-see. It truly does offer an unprecedented inside look at the MSF doctors' lives "in theater".
I've always had a lot of respect for people who do this kind of work, but this film gave me a whole new level of admiration for these doctors. They're volunteering to work in extremely stressful, dangerous, physically and emotionally challenging situations that most of us, as civilians, will never come close to experiencing.
They are heroes in my book.
