Review of Linsanity (2013) by Anthony S — 08 Oct 2013
For a couple of months in the spring of 2012, Jeremy Lin was a fixture of ESPN and the New York sports pages for his out-of-nowhere rise to high-scoring point guard with the New York Knicks. But as this fawning documentary inadvertently reveals, Lin himself is nowhere near as interesting a figure as the "Linsanity" he, fans and sports writers created.
The movie is less a biopic than marketing push to advance the Lin brand and cement his cult folk hero status.
