Review of Linsanity (2013) by Ian G — 18 Dec 2013
One of those feel good sports docs regarding the latest out of nowhere underdog success stories in the NBA in Jeremy Lin that gives you that warm fuzzy feelings when leaving the theatre. Relies a little strongly on archival footage of him growing up and hits all of the standard marks one might expect talking to the former coaches, and standard use of game footage during the streak, but still gets you all engaged in the Cinderella aspect of it all about Lin finally making his mark and heading to the Rockets to pursue his career to even further heights.
Would have been even a tad more interesting if they expanded the fact that his debut happened shortly after the strike ended and how it affected the game as a whole to heal the wounds there but otherwise enjoyable for what it is.
