Charming enough and what you might call "twee," I suppose. The kid is a little too "perfect" of a genius, but otherwise found the movie enjoyable. I could see how some could be annoyed by the kid, as it seems was the case for some people, but I never had a problem with him and thought the kid gave a decent performance.
