Review of Life in a Metro (2007) by Santosh D — 20 May 2008
Saw it a bit late in the day.....almost everyone had recommended. But sometimes too much praise dilutes your experience. Thank God that wasn't the case. Loved it absolutely- sensitive, funny, realistic and whacky at the same time! Beeeeautiful characterisation, casting, music.
I think KK Menon played the irresistable bastard effortlessly, Shilpa for once moved away from the item girl territory and how! Kangana's edginess, Sharman's understated sweetness, Shiney's angst-brilliant.
But most of all, Konkona and Irrfaan Khan rock like never before. You just wanna leap up into the screen and give both a peck! Only thing-wish Shilpa had not accepted KK in the end-come on atleast screen wives can do that for a change.
But loved it nevertheless!!
