Review of Levity (2003) by Caspar R — 31 Aug 2007
Levity is a beautifully textured story about an ex-convict who is struggling to deal with the world amid his remorse.
Shaped by its fantastic musical score, this film is a genuinely poignant piece that doesn't bore and doesn't pretend to have all the answers.
But like its characters, the film is imperfect. There are too many instances when it feels empty, as if it has failed to do everything it could have done and left viewers itching for something more that just isn't there.
This is a solid picture that fails to land the death blow.
