Review of Levity (2003) by Leilani M — 25 Nov 2009
A coherent movie about remorse. I felt symphaty toward Manuel and I think he was a heart-breaking character. I've never killed anyone, but I have made smaller mistakes, and I think this movie depicts the feeling of remorse pretty well and it was easy to relate to Manuel.
I was pleased with the cast and their excellent performances, especially Billy Bob Thornton's. All in all I think this was a pretty sad movie. Regretting one mistake for the rest of our life could be painful.
The end was touching when Manuel took a bullet for Abney, and despite everything, Adele took him to the hospital. So it was a happy ending, 'cause he finally confessed and recieved forgivness?
