Ozu's masterful hand crafts this simple yet penetrating story of a father whose only wish is to see his aging daughter marry before it is too late to find an eligible suitor. A deliberate and beautiful film-- It may be debatable to say that "one who has not yet seen this film, has not yet truly lived.
" However, for anyone who has a love at all for film, this statement rings true.
