Review of Land of Storms (2014) by Brennan A — 07 Aug 2015
Viharsarok (Land of Storms) at first reminded me of Jongens (Boys), following two discrete gay men through the bleak, raw, European setting. But, as the film played on, I was shocked at what was in store.
As an aspiring director, and avid film watcher, I feel as if most good movies have been seen or made. This movie was so beautiful, so authentically raw and unadulterated, that I had to pause at certain moments because I could not take the real human aspect being filmed.
Humbly, I've been captivated and pulled into this beautifully made movie, and not for one second did I take my eyes off of the screen. European movies will always be better because of films like this.
Thank you Ádám Császi.
