I've never knew back then that they will be a remake that stays faithful to the original version until I saw the Peter Jackson's remake version of "King Kong". From start to finish, it's a wonderful masterpeice with it's characters performances, groundbreaking visual effects, and the 8th wonder of the world himself, King Kong.
