Review of Killer Joe (2012) by Joel B — 20 Feb 2013
Okay, first off...if you are faint of heart in any way at all then do not watch this film. The violence is strong, the language is harsh, and there are several disturbing scenes. That being said the movie is flat out amazing.
This is one of the best movies I have seen in years. The directing is fantastic. William Friedkin is in his 70s and still directs stuff much more intense and better than most younger directors today. The performances by everyone especially Emile Hirsch, Matthew McConaughey, and Juno Temple.
These three are the best in the movie. Overall you just have to watch the movie. It is a flat out love it or hate it movie. I loved it.
