Review of Kevin Smith: Silent but Deadly (2018) by Larry S — 19 Jan 2019
If one doesn't mind the highly explicit sexual references and language, then you may find, as I did, this stand-up Showtime TV special to be clever and funny. Although I only like his humor at times, Smith comes across in this show as a master storyteller with impeccable timing, and he spins the tales in a natural and often self-effacing way.
What makes this 2018 TV special particularly noteworthy, at the Alex Theater in Glendale, Ca., was that he suffered a massive heart attack backstage after the show, but survived it. All in all, I enjoyed this one.
